Chrysocoma rigidula merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape. Nama ilmiah Chrysocoma rigidula pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Augustin Pyramus de Candolle pada tahun 1981.
