Chrysophyllum bicolor merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Sapotaceae (suku sawo-sawoan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Hispaniola hingga Kepulauan Virgin. Nama ilmiah Chrysophyllum bicolor pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Jean Louis Marie Poiret pada tahun 1811.
