RED FALSE BEARDGRASS Chrysopogonfulvus (Spreng.) Chiov.
Chrysopogon fulvus merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari anak benua India hingga Semenanjung Malaysia. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan red false beardgrass. Nama ilmiah Chrysopogon fulvus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Curt Polycarp Joachim Sprengel pada tahun 1929.
