Chrysopogon sylvaticus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Northern Territory tengah, Queensland, hingga New South Wales timur laut. Nama ilmiah Chrysopogon sylvaticus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Charles Edward Hubbard pada tahun 1938.
