Chrysothemis pulchella adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan perdu atau perdu kecil dari famili Gesneriaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko (Chiapas) hingga kawasan tropis Amerika. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan squarestem. Nama ilmiah Chrysothemis pulchella pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis James Donn pada tahun 1849.
