Cibotium regale adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Cyatheaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko (Veracruz, Puebla, Chiapas), hingga Amerika tengah. Nama ilmiah Cibotium regale pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Ambroise Colette Alexandre Verschaffelt pada tahun 1865.
