Cinnamomum platyphyllum merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Lauraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah China (Chingqing, Sichuan timur laut). Nama ilmiah Cinnamomum platyphyllum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Friedrich Ludwig Emil Diels pada tahun 1939.
