Cistanche afghanica merupakan tumbuhan holoparasit dari famili Orobanchaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Afghanistan tenggara. Nama ilmiah Cistanche afghanica pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Alexander Gilli pada tahun 1979.
