Cistanche flava merupakan tumbuhan holoparasit dari famili Orobanchaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Asia tengah. Nama ilmiah Cistanche flava pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Anton von Meyer pada tahun 1896.
