Citronella costaricensis merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Cardiopteridaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kosta Rika hingga Venezuela barat laut dan Peru. Nama ilmiah Citronella costaricensis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis John Donnell Smith pada tahun 1940.
