Cleome guianensis merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Cleomaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di kawasan tropis Amerika. Nama ilmiah Cleome guianensis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Jean Baptiste Christophore Fusée Aublet pada tahun 1775.
