Cleome maculata adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim dari famili Cleomaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Zimbabwe selatanhingga Provinsi Free State (Afsel). Nama ilmiah Cleome maculata diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Otto Wilhelm Sonder pada tahun 1887.
