Cleome monandra merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Cleomaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering. Nama ilmiah Cleome monandra diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Augustin Pyramus de Candolle pada tahun 1825.
