Cleome scaposa merupakan tumbuhan semusim atau menahun dari famili Cleomaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering. Nama ilmiah Cleome scaposa diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Augustin Pyramus de Candolle pada tahun 1824.
