Cleome speciosa adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim dari famili Cleomaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko hingga Nikaragua. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan volantines preciosos. Nama ilmiah Cleome speciosa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Constantine Samuel Rafinesque pada tahun 1817.
