Clethra gelida adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Clethraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Amerika tengah. Nama ilmiah Clethra gelida diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Paul Carpenter Standley pada tahun 1938.
