Clethra papuana merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Clethraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Papua. Nama ilmiah Clethra papuana diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Johannes Jacobus Smith pada tahun 1914.
