Clethra tomentosa merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Clethraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Amerika Serikat bagian tenggara. Nama ilmiah Clethra tomentosa diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Jean-Baptiste Lamarck pada tahun 1786.
