Cleyera velutina adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Pentaphylacaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko (Michoacán hingga Oaxaca). Nama ilmiah Cleyera velutina pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Bruce Monroe Bartholomew pada tahun 1988.
