Coccoloba costata merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Polygonaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kuba timur hingga Puerto Rico. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan uvilla. Nama ilmiah Coccoloba costata pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Charles Wright pada tahun 1870.
