Coccothrinax alta merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Arecaceae (suku pinang-pinangan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Puerto Rico hingga Kepulauan Virgin. Nama ilmiah Coccothrinax alta pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Orator F. Cook pada tahun 1907.
