SILK-COTTON TREE Cochlospermumreligiosum (L.) Alston
Cochlospermum religiosum merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Bixaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari India hingga Myanmar. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan silk-cotton tree. Nama ilmiah Cochlospermum religiosum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Arthur Hugh Garfit Alston pada tahun 1931.
