Coelachne perpusilla merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari India selatan, Sri Lanka, Indo-China, hingga Filipina. Nama ilmiah Coelachne perpusilla pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Christian Gottfried Daniel Nees von Esenbeck pada tahun 1864.
