Coelocarpum africanum merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Verbenaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering di wilayah Somalia utara. Nama ilmiah Coelocarpum africanum diperkenalkan oleh Harold Norman Moldenke pada tahun 1959.
