Coffea racemosa merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Rubiaceae (suku kopi-kopian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Zimbabwe timur, KwaZulu-Natal, hingga Mozambique Kepulauan Channel. Nama ilmiah Coffea racemosa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis João de Loureiro pada tahun 1790.
