Coleus caillei merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Lamiaceae (suku nilam-nilaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari kawasan tropis Afrika bagian barat hingga Kamerun. Nama ilmiah Coleus caillei diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Auguste Jean Baptiste Chevalier pada tahun 1931.
