Colutea brevialata merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Prancis selatan hingga Spanyol timur laut dan timur-tengah. Nama ilmiah Colutea brevialata pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Johan Martin Christian Lange pada tahun 1861.
