Colutea triphylla merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Iran utara (Pegunungan Elbruz selatan). Nama ilmiah Colutea triphylla pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Alexander Andrejewitsch von Bunge pada tahun 1872.
