SOUR PRICKLYPEAR Consolearubescens (Salm-Dyck ex DC.) Lem.
Consolea rubescens merupakan tumbuhan sukulen berbentuk pohon dari famili Cactaceae (suku kaktus-kaktusan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Puerto Rico hingga Kepulauan Leeward. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan sour pricklypear. Nama ilmiah Consolea rubescens pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Joseph zu Salm-Reifferscheidt-Dyck pada tahun 1862.
