Copaifera elliptica merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Brazil (Goiás, Mato Grosso). Nama ilmiah Copaifera elliptica pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Friedrich Philipp von Martius pada tahun 1837.
