Coprosma atropurpurea merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Rubiaceae (suku kopi-kopian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Pulau Selatan Selandia Baru. Nama ilmiah Coprosma atropurpurea diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Leonard C. Cockayne pada tahun 1974.
