Coprosma kauensis merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Rubiaceae (suku kopi-kopian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Kepulauan Hawaii (Kauai). Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan koi. Nama ilmiah Coprosma kauensis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Asa Gray pada tahun 1897.
