Coptis lutescens adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Ranunculaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk akar rimpang. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Jepang (Honshu tengah). Nama ilmiah Coptis lutescens diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Michio Tamura pada tahun 1978.
