Coreopsis leavenworthii merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Alabama selatan hingga Florida. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan leavenworth's tickseed. Nama ilmiah Coreopsis leavenworthii pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis John Torrey pada tahun 1842.
