Cornus excelsa merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Cornaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko hingga Honduras. Nama ilmiah Cornus excelsa diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carl Sigismund Kunth pada tahun 1820.
