Corynaea crassa var. sprucei adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan holoparasit dari famili Balanophoraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kosta Rika hingga Venezuela dan Bolivia. Nama ilmiah Corynaea crassa var. sprucei pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis August Wilhelm Eichler pada tahun 1978.
