Costus aureus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Costaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk akar rimpang. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Liberia hingga Ghana. Nama ilmiah Costus aureus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Paul Maas pada tahun 2016.
