Costus barbatus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Costaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Kosta Rika. Nama ilmiah Costus barbatus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Karl Suessenguth pada tahun 1942.
