Costus dubius merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Costaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk akar rimpang. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di kawasan tropis Afrika. Nama ilmiah Costus dubius pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Adam Afzelius pada tahun 1904.
