Costus giganteus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Costaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk akar rimpang. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah São Tomé, Príncipe, Annobon. Nama ilmiah Costus giganteus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Friedrich Welwitsch pada tahun 1887.
