Costus lasius adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Costaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk akar rimpang. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di kawasan tropis Amerika bagian tengah dan selatan. Nama ilmiah Costus lasius diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Ludwig Eduard Theodor Loesener pada tahun 1929.
