Costus pulverulentus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Costaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk akar rimpang. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko hingga Venezuela dan Ekuador. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan spiral ginger. Nama ilmiah Costus pulverulentus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carl Borivoj Presl pada tahun 1825.
