Costus spectabilis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Costaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk akar rimpang. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di kawasan tropis Afrika. Nama ilmiah Costus spectabilis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Eduard Fenzl pada tahun 1892.
