Cota halophila merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari wilayah sepanjang Türkiye selatan hingga Suriah. Nama ilmiah Cota halophila pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Pierre Edmond Boissier pada tahun 2003.
