Cota rayatensis merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Türkiye timur. Nama ilmiah Cota rayatensis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Alexander Eig pada tahun 1974.
