Cotoneaster mairei merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Rosaceae (suku mawar-mawaran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah China (Yunnan). Nama ilmiah Cotoneaster mairei pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Augustin Abel Hector Léveillé pada tahun 1915.
