Cotula australis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Zimbabwe, Afrika Selatan, Madagaskar, hingga dan Australasia. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan australian waterbuttons. Nama ilmiah Cotula australis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Joseph Dalton Hooker pada tahun 1852.
