Cousinia laniceps merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Asia tengah. Nama ilmiah Cousinia laniceps pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Joseph Friedrich Nicolaus Bornmüller pada tahun 1937.
