Crassothonna patula merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Provinsi Cape. Nama ilmiah Crassothonna patula pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Rudolf Schlechter pada tahun 2012.
