Crocus vitellinus merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Iridaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk bonggol berbentuk umbi. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Türkiye selatan hingga Israel utara. Nama ilmiah Crocus vitellinus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Göran Wahlenberg pada tahun 1826.
